The 8th International Oboe Competiton of Karuizawa, Japan 2006

The International Oboe Competition, which has been held every three years in Tokyo since 1985, will move its venue to the newly opened Karuizawa Ohga Hall located in the town of Karuizawa, known as one of the finest resorts in Japan. Under its new name, The International Oboe Competition of Karuizawa, the competition will embark on a new chapter in its history.

The jury consists of world renown oboists including Mr. Hansjörg Schellenberger (Chairman) and Mr. Maurice Bourgue, among others.
